Connection!

This year, as I read about the Resurrection and First Fruits, a connection came to me that I'd not made before.

And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Y'hshuah had lain.  John 20:12

picture an angel at each end!

And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.  And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.  And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.  Exodus 25:17-19

Messiah's empty tomb with the two angels, on at each end of where He had been laid, brought to mind the top of the ark of the covenant.  What Mary saw in that sepulcher must have looked a great deal like the mercy seat.

Tempted and Tried

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of G-d.  Matthew 4:4

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of YHUH doth man live.  Deuteronomy 8:3

I don't believe a day goes by that I don't see prayer requests stating that they or their family are under attack.  We are called to pray for each other, but Messiah has already set the example, when it comes to dealing with the enemy in victory.  Quote the Torah!  Speak the Word.  Although I do pray when someone asks, speaking the Word of our Creator in following the example of Messiah is far more powerful than my prayers.
